Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

TERMS OF USE for my pictures

I've been receiving a lot of notes and message recently about people using my pictures and them being uploaded on others sites etc .
I haven't got a lot of time to reply so i'll write this journal to write down what I tolerate or not ^^

WHAT YOU CAN DO
-use my pictures/edit them for avatar, banner signature, blog layout, wallpaper, fashion theme set, stamps etc...(include mostly all graphic thing for personal use only)
-use my pictures as reference or inspirations for some things as long as you credit me if the picture is heavily isnpired by me.

WHAT YOU CAN'T
-use any parts of the pictures for selling purpose
-Basing your characters totally on mine and saying you created it just by adding or removing one details! (inspiration and ripping are a totally different thing)
-use my pixels icons as your own, I commissioned them and their for my purpose only ^_^!
-edit my flele shell graphics, you can use the coding but don't edit the graphics create your own ^_^, I've made tutorials for that!
-edit my pictures and saying it's your own
-posting my pictures and saying its your own (even thought I laugh all the time at that XD seriously I love reading the author comment in those cases)

WHAT I WOULD PREFER NOT
-having my pictures upload on sites like photobucket, I won't go check since I now its nearly impossible to check that but I would appreciate it, if people at least set the gallery on private.
-upload my whole gallery on forums, I do not mind people posting my pictures but sometimes I find forums post with all of my gallery I would rather prefer people linking my da account or my artsite and post only fews drawings .

I'm a writer who is self-publishing and designing books at the moment, and I'm shopping around my favorite artists, reviewing their styles, and writing down their commission information. I REALLY like your art, and quite possibly would like to commission you to do one of my covers. Is that a no? *sad puppy face*
